New cardiopulmonary department at Nova Southeastern University. On the cutting edge. NSU will offer the first-professional BSRT (pending accreditation), the BSRT completion program for working RRTs, and in 2015 will offer a Masters in Cardiolpulmonary Sciences (upon SACS approval).
The Cardiopulmonary sciences department, located in Palm Beach Gardens,
will be completely Apple based, and students will be required to carry
an iPad. All text books will be ebooks. So the only items needed for class
with be an iPad, a stethoscope and a pen light.
There will be 4 recorded simulation rooms
to include 2 adult ECS, 1 pediatric, and 1 neonatal. There will be a
separate physical assessment lab, an ICU/patient ward, as well as an equipment / ventilation / pulmonary function lab.
All classrooms will have the capability of recording lectures for later viewing on the iPad, and each room will be equipped with interactive video and apple tv.
